“About 3 months ago I was diagnosed with an inflamed nerve in my left leg. On a scale of 1 to 10 the pain was at about a 15. When the x-ray technician asked me if I could turn over on my side, I thought sure – I’ve been doing that since I was a baby. It took 3 of us to manage it. I was given a round of steriods and muscle relaxers. If that didn’t work, I was told, they would do more tests and I could possibly be looking a surgery. The treatment brought the pain down to about a manageable 8 or 9. As I wasn’t thrilled about the idea of a surgery, when Dr. Xu was recomended by a friend, I made an appointment. After a month of needles and his special tea (sorry, apparently only comes in one flavor – nasty) which I drink 3 times a day I am waking up with very little pain and cramping (maybe down to a 1) which soon goes away (without medication) instead of deciding to spend the whole day keeping me company. He says will go away completely in time. I can sit, stoop, and bend over, anything I used to do and feel NOTHING! and this in less time than it would have taken to recuperate from a surgery. I have never tried acupuncture before, but it’s certainly working for me.”

When our journey with Dr. Xu started I would not have believed what was to come. My wife was going to lose her legs, they were nearly gone: cold, purple, swollen and only getting worse every day; her legs were dying. Thankfully we found Dr. Xu, and thankfully I kept my mouth shut, and listened during that first visit. My wife had been only getting worse before we found Dr. Xu. Before her third week was up it was obvious that something good was happening. Over the next few months her swelling began to disappear and her color began to come back. Even my next door neighbor said her color was good (not just her legs, her color overall). Dr. Xu gave her legs life! It took months, but her legs became hot again (not cold anymore) in the morning and warm all day long. Anyway, small amounts of involuntary moment started, followed by more new involuntary movement. Then, it happened (right here I can only write the words, because when I try to speak them they choke in my throat). Helping her became easy, as she got to where she could stand and sit as I helped her. I was no longer providing all the motion through my muscles. Dr. Xu saved her life, he saved both our lives. The first patient we talked to said, “He’s a miracle worker”. You see, now I am a patient too. You don’t have to understand that first day, I know I didn’t understand. What was your medical condition before you started treatment with Dr. Xu:
Pelvic pain, back pain, spinal stenosis, severe hip and leg pain. Unable to sleep, walking limitations, leg lag, unable to climb stairs, Varicositis, poor circulation. I began my treatment 12/07.

What is your current medical condition:
Very little pain in areas mentioned above. I’m back walking normal. I’m feeling good, and feel I am ready to go on the maintenance program. I would like to improve upon stair, climbing, and weight loss. I now get 8 hours of sleep.

I have always had problems with my legs, such as poor circulation, my hand and feet swell, I had problems bending, and standing for a long period of time and walking. I always was felt fatigue. At time, very bad mood swings, energy level was excessively dropped when trying to push my body to do the wrong thing.
